INGREDIENT – To serve 4-5 persons

Melam Roasted Rava 250 g
Oil 3 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal / Chana dal 3/4 tsp
Asafoetida a pinch
Curry leaves a few
Onion chopped 1 no
Ginger grated 1 inch piece
Green Chillies chopped 2 nos
Optional vegetables carrot, beans, potato, peas 25-50 gm
Water 600 ml
Salt to taste
Ghee 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves – for garnish a few sprigs

COOKING METHOD
  • Take Melam Roasted Rava
  • Heat oil and season with Mustard seeds, Urad dal /Chana dal, Asafoetida and some curry leaves
  • Then add chopped onion , grated ginger and chopped green chillies
  • Saute for 2-3 mins till the onion becomes translucent
  • Add all the chopped vegetables and saute for another 3-4 minutes
  • Add water, salt to taste and bring it to boil
  • When water starts boiling, add ghee
  • Add rava gradually to the boiling water with continuous stirring so that no lumps are formed
  • Cover it and cook on low flame until mixture turns thick
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves
  • Serve it with , chutney of your choice
